I'm kinda interested to see this new Nintendo system (the Wii?) I guess you will be able to play the classic Nintendo games on it...
other than that, don't really care.

You can't really beat it. Price will probalby be around $200; plus it's backwards compatible with old nintendo systems and a ton of sega games.

Michael Manzer, goood luck. they are having a ton of issues with the ps3. its getting delayed a ton. also apparently ps3 is too hard to code for to actually get the proper speeds outputting. Also it is rumored to be 600 dollars. Crazy Eyes no thank you.

seven11dmd, huh?

Release date for ps3 is November this year... that's what I've been hearing for well over a year, and it was confirmed this week.
Confirmed to be 600$ for premium, and a lesser model for 500$ (for the equivalent in what you get, it's not really any more expensive than an xbox 360).
My roommate was basically telling me... if you play more Playstation only games than you do Xbox games, then go for the PS3, or vice versa.

However, if you are like me, and don't really play a lot of games (save for the occasional Madden or Halo session) check out the Nintendo Wii b/c it's not too expensive and has some fun titles that anyone can get into.

i am a hardcore nintendo fan i have all of them including gameboys and i thinkt he new nintedo with the revolutionary one handed controller wiht an attachment for a joystick and the old game downloadablity

But i want the PS3 too because in the next few years all dvds will convert to having a High definition and blue ray compatiblity. The blue ray disk can hold 20 gigs 50 gigs and a 200 gig is being made. and a blue ray burner for your comp will be about 400 and a blue ray dvd player is about 1000 but the ops3 will have a built in blue ray reader so you could put 20 movies on one dvd and and watch it. Si think 600 or 500 s a good price for a system and a blueray player

The Wii is going to be incredible, it doesn't have rediculous graphics or anything, but (at least for me) gameplay means more than anything else. Check out www.kotaku.com for updates on E3 in general and some videos from the Nintendo Wii.

Hopefully it turns out well. I keep reading that the controller is too sensitive or something. Something they can fix before launch i'd assume.
