PIRATE, when I got my first deck from L13, they said "go nuts with it, experiment/reshape it, but as long as you can still ride it" I would think LF would have the same attitude.

I remember reading one of the Oaks riders saying they painted their boards/rounded their edges, and thought those same things at the time Pirate. But in the end, I think it doesn't really matter as long as you like how it rides. I'm sure different sponsors might feel differently about this though...

haha...which brings up another question: why ride for LF? i mean, how can you promote a product that you yourself dont believe is good? its one thing to just suck it up and ride the skate regardless and try to make the most of it, but its another to hack the skate up and then paint it in such a manner that it ends up resembling another brand's skate and then post pictures of it on the internet.

pirate, read the custom lf 37-38 thread, he did the same thing to another wood LF, and i told him the same thing too. i have no idea how that would be representing your company good.

parky, chill out on the board moding bro.. it doesnt look good to your company at all. and does it make that big of a differance? if so... find a LF that you like man. keep it stock. a good skater can skate on anything.

in all fairness to evan, he is waiting for his new board so why not experiement with the old one. redoing wakeskates are fun, especially for the kids like us from canada who have to sit through the long snow season. It starts to mess with our heads a bit, why do you think hes so good at carpet boarding?. i dont care if your sponsered or not i think everyone can admit that hyperlite came out with a good looking board, the argyle look is pretty cool. This board is not the board he is going to be riding for the 06 season it was just something he did for fun. Nice work on the board evan.

scott a, let me ask you... how do wakeskates shapes evolve to what they are now? people take a shape and change it to make it better for them... if people didnt do that, we would still be riding a wakeboard with foam pads... If I seriously didnt like a skate... I wouldnt ride it, obviously I like the armada series enough to ride it, i sanded the molded fins down and took abit off the ends... sorry I like to change things to my personal preferences... isnt that what most do with Integrity's, so that must be the same?
