Grouch, you can safely take that *always* off your post...
No one will disagree that the 1st batch had issues, but I must say I'm pretty impressed on how my second bi is holding up... Longer than any other wood skate I had.
In the end you are going to probably break it up at some point, but that's the price for riding wood (wait wait, OMEN!!!! It's free woodie feel!! )
For all the inovation the Bi brought into the wakeskate industry it is worth that deck of the year title IMO.
Besides an integrity, what other deck would you see at the top if it wasn't a bi level? That topic should have been why is the bi skate of the year and not the integ _________________

just a lil bit of info...
TO MY KNOWLEDGE, dawley(SPL?) had design the bi-level to be a composite board and thomas being the one the design was gna go through or wat have u, thomas of course wanted wood. so if dawley was a sell out(obviously isnt) he could get hyperlite to pay him oodles to build the original design i would think. but i would love to see a composite bi-level.
also i rode one of the pre production models and felt the amazingness of the bi-level, rode a first batch and it sucked compared to the one i first rode.
just a lil food for thought |

ok i tihnk that the bi-level is useless, sure its a great board from what i have heard. but i dont tsee the advantage of having 2 decks , why nto jsut havea wood deck with kick tails and concave. I think the integ should have taken first but i understand why it didnt, its too new age and what not, i eman almsot all my friedns are like "whats a wakeskate?" I am up in canada, and wakeskating is really new up here. but anyways, the integ has customizable rails which imo makes each skate unique and more user friendly than any other skate out there.
its new and all the other skates are jsut generic and the only thing you can customize is the picture you cut out of your grip tape. _________________

HatzicScape112 thats the whole point of the bi level though without the two decks it doesn't have the same effect and if you want a concave wakeskate with kicktail go buy a gate. |

A Bi-Level spoon would be awesome for the silverware industry, they could charge way too much for it, it would be awesome. _________________

headhuntermx4,
Didn't the pro production models have more flex? In volume 1 reed was saying how he liked itwith more flex, but thomas liked the feel of it being stiff so thats what they went with. |

vance, i dont know exactly but im sure u got it cause it was reeds board that i rode. not that i ride like reed but i think my style would be more twords his than thomas's so maybe thats why i took a liking to it. im hopeing to find a bi-level reed leaves somewhere in the area. i need to add to my collection |

top 2 reasons integrity was not ranked higher (it's o.k. we don't care)
2. Retailer sales. (95% our decks are sold on the internet)
1. advertising/marketing. ( $3500 a full page add)
At this point we would rather put the money back into integrity
congrats to Cassette _________________ at least be honest with your self |

I'm pretty sure cassette only put out one ad this year as well. In the end, integrity and cassette have completely different decks and, from what I can tell, different philosophies when it comes to board design. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

one-eyed sailor551, yeah like mixing liquid & solid fuel..ignition..kafujtjtfhg boooom. Ahahahahahaha. Just messin..it's early & this is the only time I can do this with out someone over my shoulder. Like this fuccin parrot.." get away" get off" another one of those flash forwards. I just don't understand the practicality of the two levels. Hang on for foil skating. vance, I thought in Volume Reed said that they found like a balance between Thomas' and Reed's ideas by creating a more flexible top deck and a stiffer bottom deck. I guess I've got an excuse to watch it again |
