So i'm looking to buy a ski soon. Tonight i rode one that was a year 2000 XL1200 Limited Yamaha Waverunner (1200cc, 155HP 2-stroke, but i guess it has some kind of cadalatic converter that allows u to go into anti-2-stroke lakes, or so the owner said) with only 10 hrs on it. Its been stored inside and comes with tags and a trailer. he mentioned 5k, but im sure i can get it down to around 4k with some heckling.
I dont know crap about waverunners, but this one seemed to be great for pulling a wakeskater. i was jumping wake2wake, and doin lipslides, olling off the wake. We had it at 55mph quick with three adults on it. prob 470 lbs total, so i guess power isnt a issue. Is there anything I should look out for with this one? I'd like to get a pilon for it, and a board rack too if possible. I think my integrity shaved the skin off my coworkers (female) leg while we were riding out to our spot _________________ integrity-wake.com | chriscut.com |

Hey Chris, my buddy Danny has an XLT 1200 in Miami. Watch out becuase it has three cylinders and sucks gas similar to a boat. Other than that it's great for wakeskating. The tow point is high and everything. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

doesnt sound to bad for a two stroke. the only thing i would look into is getting a four stroke u can put more hours on em and the get sick gas milage. i thought my rents were gna sell my ski so i was looking for em and i found some honda's for 5,000-6500 and yamahas and kawasaki's for 4-6,000
good luck |

| Yamahas have some of the best engines in skis. They are double bearingd so they last longer, and they have less moving parts in the engine. Its hard to have less moving parts in an engine, so what I am saying is that they have things just more direct. Less moving parts = less things to break. |

| my dad was talkin to the guy who invented the pilon on the back, he was with yamaha, he said they discontinued the pilon because it almost flipped the ski wen the rider cut out and it eventually did, so watch out with yamahasi have one and its sooooo nice, definitly get it down some, even though its low hrsu can at least try. we have the same year. ive bin on the new seadoo gtx wake edition and those things are sooooo wide and they sit super deep in the water so they dont get pulled wen the rider cuts out. but its ur choice man. |

The seadoo wake edition is super sweet. You can barely feel the rider behind you and its a beauty to ride behind _________________ Rock hard, ride free |

Chris Barcellos, IVE WORKED at a jet ski shop for along time and 4grand would be a really good deal for that ski. What i would do is ask for the serial number of the ski and then go to a yahmaha dealer and find out what service bullitons have been done on it, and what if any may still be availble.
Also if you have any questions let me know. |

| The only thing I'm not impressed with on the seadoo is some of the materials they use. My friend has a 04 gtx 4tec wake edition and a 04 gtx 4 tec, and I noticed that the impeller shafts were made of steel or something and already rusted. Most ski companies use some kind of alloy or aluminum that lasts longer. |
