Anyone who rides a skate with a channel, does it make a big difference? Every skate I have ridden has been channel-less. Does it help with tracking when riding finless? Does it affect popping, spinning shuvs, etc.?

I like finless on my K39, but when I go W2W I want fins. So I just ride with fins all the time now.

Does strictlyskates ship to Canada?

mikeskatesonwater, you didnt answer a single one of his questions Laughing

i really dont think channels make that much of a difference in the ride. to me poping, spinning and shuvits all feel the same as on a channel-less board.

i think the whole point of channels is so you can ride finless but still have some tracking ability. its not a whole lot of hold and many people wont even notice it, but its still there.

There is a slight difference in feel, but you really only feel the difference of the channels when on edge. As far as shuv-its and stuff, you wont notice a diference.
Hope that helps.

one-eyed sailor551 I hate when you lose the channel changer cause then I am just to lazy to get up every time to switch the channel so I just sit and watch some dumb ass program.

ive ridden just about every board out there and i really dont notice a quarter inch deep channel that much.
were actually working on a new kind of channeling system for the bottom of our 06 boards. it should help in olling and tracking much more than your average channel. we been trying to to release the units this year but financing (my pockets) wont let us. so instead of trying to push something that is not TOTALLY DONE we have chosen to wait until the next season.
