Hey guys im new to wakeskating and this forum. I asked my dad if I could buy a wakeskate and he told me I couldnt. So.. I built one. I'm giving it a run on sunday to see how it rides and ill give ya'll the word. So heres a few pics on my new skate. It took me aproximatly 3 weeks cuz I had to go to school, normally woulda taken 1-2 weeks. I used a different method on getting a rocker then normally so i hope you guys like it. So heres my pics. I hope to get some feedback and comments plzz. oh and those are 1.5 inch liquid force wakeskate fins. |

thx for the comments guys, so heres the deal, my dimensions are 41inches in length, 15inches wide in the middle and 9inches at the ends. And this project is very doable for everybody even u crzytexan. Heres the complete rundown. First of all.. i started w/ a peice of plywood, i did not make my own cuz that woulda taken another week lol and i wanted to get on the lake asap. so i took a peice of 9 ply half in findland birch(basically the hardest best plywood out there) and cut out my shape w/ a band saw. Next i routed the edges and sanded the whole thing down. Next i soaked it in my neighbors pool for 3 days and the wood got flexible. now for the rocker, i put a 4 inch high square block of wood in the middle of the board, then i clamped the right and left tips of the board to the table. then u just wait for the wood to dry and u have new shape!! Now you prim then put yur graphic on, then u fiberglass the wood or marine varnish it. I did both by the way. then put yur griptape on and yur done |

Good attitude, you'll appreciate the board and the sport more because you fabricated your own deck. I know I did. _________________ Get ya' hair did. |
