is 110 hp about right for wakeskating? I'm 200 lbs, and between pulling me, and a spotter, that seems like a lot to ask of a 110hp engine.

To be honest I'm surprised someone hasn't built an electric winch yet. It would have MAD torque, although I'm not sure how much electric motors are. Could you use a laundry machine motor...?

Just out of curiosity, what kind of loads does the winch put on the brakes of your vehicle? Do you leave it in gear (like you would parking a manual?) or do you use the parking brake?
