Ok, today i made a testrun with gearing 3,5:1 (changed from 3:1).
The engine is only 5.3 hp and we were soooooooo colse to waterstarts. The speed is there, is to fast when you get the engine reved ... |

I not to sure about the waterstarts, with the gearing setup i use now (3:1) it is possible to pull up a wakeboarder but not wakeskater... and the top speed is ab ... |

| sparrow.2, yep, thats right!i started to tare the engine apart and found that the gearbox had a ratio of aprox 2:1. Yes, the spool size has a lot to do with the gearing to. I have a pretty wide spool ... |

| The Swedish winch has a 5.5 hp engine with torque converter. the gear ratio is a little bit of so i won't do deep water starts but..... soon |
