| if it's getting covered with laquer then it doesn't matter as the paint won't be in contact with the water, as long as the laquer, or whatever protective coating is used, doesn't make the paint streak |

here's a couple boards I've just finished making. The blue deck is concaved using EVA foam glued onto a wood flatstyle deck with grip over top. The other has EVA as grip.
