Brettly, Slapdown was pretty much spot on on what he said. What did you have that delamed in a week? That sucks.

It was an LF, but the place I bought it from said they were having a lot of problems ...

Sounds like whiplash, I just had it not too long ago. It'll last 3-4 days. Just take painkillers and it'll be fine. If it ever gets really bad put a hot compress on your neck to loosen the muscles.

So I was researching boards and I saw that gator boards were 19 ply and oak were 16 ply, yet oaks are a bit more expensive. Isn't more plys supposed to mean its more durable?

yeah, the the guy i bought it from said they were horrible and sold it to me cheap, so wasn't bent outta shape over it. I just wanted to see how long other peoples boards lasted to compare.
