No way this thing dosen't jerk you at all it pulls you up out of the water. We tryed it with a 220lbs guy and like 400 feet of rope it pulled him up from the water. You cannot tell the diffence between the winch and a boat pulling you. |

yeah ive totaly changed my prespective about it now that more people have said stuff and explained all the reasoning for costs and such. I think it coud potentialy open a few doors. How good on gas is it? _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

It takes about $1.25 of gas and that'll last you a couple of days of solid riding. The reason for this is because your only accelarating for about 10 seconds while the rider is getting pulled 300ft., any other time the engine is idling. So for those of us on a budget The Winch is the way to go. _________________ "Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit."

$1.25 for a couple of days of solid riding?
That's crazy.
I just hope it is not wishful thinking again...

Nope, its not. I'm not going to write $1.25 in stone, because the price in gas changes (seems overnight sometimes). But you deffinetly can run a long time (more then 1 day) on a couple bucks. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

HAHA!! Yea, sorry guys I forgot the fluctuation in gas prices....but you know what I mean. About a gallon will do you justice for a couple of days. _________________ "Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit."

So what is the patent number(s)? I dont want to make these to sell. I make a decent living already.
I'm curious what you guys were able to patent. |

ok seriously why would you go and tell people your gonna go and break the law? a patent is lawfully "the winch's" and if you build your own than good luck but damnit keep it to ur self. u dont rob a bank and tell everyone, do you? i think $1400 is a good amount of money no doubt but its cheaper than a good running ski or boat. Also if you wanna try something, do this, get a spare tire for a car or truck and and get a long ass rope hooked up to the rim, park it were ever u go an jack it with blocks and sh*t and drive! if it works tell me! i think it might? |

Yeah, I was talking to a few people and there might be a "lower" budget two-man winch. The main parts would include a large wooden spool and two wooden pegs, with one attached on each side of the spool at opposite ends (a mid-end two man winch may include this design, but the pegs will be replaced with bike pedals). Anyway, when wake schralper number one says, "hit it" whipping boy number two starts cranking.
What do you think? _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

IIIiiii like it. But personally, I'd buy a version that had 200 hamster wheels so I can have an army of hamsters pull my across the pond. It's a one man operation. |

livewirelp, by far the best idea.
you could also get one of those big spindles that are in the ground with a stick coming outta it and a donkey that walks around in a circle pulling you. _________________ JMU |

No, I actually checked on utilizing animal power, but that's animal abuse. Plus, they're rather insolent...especially when they poo all over. At least your friend can clean up after himself...ya herd?? _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
