I have been thinking about doing that idea for 2 years now but never got around to it. I'm excited to see how it works.

I always thought something like this would be cool so you could lock in to crooked grinds, smiths, etc. Sort of like the Byerly Lock but with some concave for better locking on actual "grinding" tricks.

put something like that, but maybe with more of a V-shape on both ends and you can start doing 50-50's and maybe 5-0's

Patio_Furniture, If you think about it, a V shape would make it harder to tweak the board for certain grinds such as Smiths and Crooked grinds. With my design i am pretty sure you could still 5050 and 5-0.

I like this thread. I'm almost never around rails, so this doesn't actually concern me, but I'm digging on the DIY action.

the nipples are cool but I think things look more stylish with the fins on instead.

i tried this idea with the bump fins and the problem i had was they are squared off so the board was very slow in the water. I always wanted to try with something like wake-till-i-die, has but never found one and everyone that owns a company never wanted to make them for some reason. lets see some pics of what happenes
