editing software

what editing software do you use for windows xp? i have windows movie maker and it works but id rather get something nicer. ive used imovie hd on macs and it had alot of features and was easy to use but i dont have a mac.

final cut pro is the best out there, doesn't take much to learn, a lot of guys use adobe premiere but i heard it is really hard to use. I have pinnacle studio 10, it has picture in picture and green screen capability

classik5onit, i don't know, i think you might be able to download like a 30 day trial, but i really don't know, maybe it's just for mac, cuz you know what they say "once you go mac, you have to make the difficult desicion of wheather or not to go back" (family guy-cleavland)

final cut pro is mac only. adobe premier is nearly iddentical to final cut from my experinces. i like it a little bit more actually. editing isnt hard, it just takes a little playing around with the program to fully get the hang of it.

aight thanks. im gona try to download a 30 day trial. ill prob buy the whole adobe software package with photoshop, illustrator and all that good stuff if its not too expensive.

Kay-Kay, i desperately need help with Premiere. I recently started trying to make the switch from Pinnacle Studio to Adobe Premiere and it's god damnded rocket science! Mad

. When i take a filter and drag it to a clip on the timeline, it doesn't show up when i play is back. Is there something else i need to do?

SONY Vegas. Much more intuitive than FCP and Adobe. Now your only problem is finding some good footage to edit! just joshin.

I just started using FCP from Premiere Pro... Well they do look a lot alike, but FCP has that pro inferface look to it and seems to have much more options.

Can't wait to get new footage to edit... heck I might even dig up some old shizzle to re edit something new just to play around with FCP Afro

i just use win mocie maker... it has not bad filters and if you have photoshop then you can do some pretty cool stuff with it... it just takes some time...

FCP so sick, its pretty much got adobe after effects with it as wlell you can almsot do every in FCP except go into 3-D space for logos and shizzle, FCP is only for mac, sooooooooooooooooo much better then PC its amazing. plus they just got the pentium chip for macs so if you really want to you can run PC or mac operating systems on one computer. Premier is really similar to FCP and its pretty easy to use, for the guy was saying he cant see effects you need to make sure that the clips are butted right up to each for them to cross over, do you understand what rendering is as well? thats another thing maybe you just didn't do that.

ripava82, You won't get slammed. These things are rediculously overpriced. This is why people use things such as bearshare and limewire to download such programs... but uh... not me... no sir...

Anywho i use a COMPLETELY PAID-FOR Sony Vegas 6.0 and it's simply awesome. Very easy to use and I BOUGHT IT FROM A FRIEND FOR CHEAP. It gives you proffessional quality editing that is easy to use and faily cheap to BUY... like i did...

The sticker price is guna shock ya though....1500.00 for mac or pc. I just got my copy the other day. Im going to school to learn how to use it. Whats sweet is since im taking the class I get a educational discount. So I only paid 700.00

how do you get the programs off torrent and stuff? i tried getting some on limewire once. BAD IDEA. the virus i got froze my computer and it would not start past the xp sign. eventually had to reinstall windows. Evil or Very Mad

i hope every person who has every put out a virus will just die. or at least stop.

Yeah but when you buy it you get the other cool programs that come with Final Cut Studio HD like Soundtrack Pro for making your own music and multi track audio files, dvd producer for make professionally quality dvd menus and motion and live type two awesome computer animation programs. 1500 hell even 700 is a lot of money for video editing software. But you get what you pay for or what you dont pay for..I got my first non linear video editing program off of a torrent it was sony vegas. But it doesn't do near as much as the Final Cut Studio pack. Really though if you have some good footage. Something beside from behind the boat..... with just very little skills and a basic non linear video editing program you can make a bad ass video.

Rhino, yeah i have all of that stuff you just talked about.. i got the whole pack. i just spent 2700 on a macbook pro so there is no way i was dropping another 1400 on final cut.. all of my torrent stuff is legit
