EvanPark, the smoke from that fire has come across the straight and is hanging around the island. It's not thick but you can't see mountains in the distance. Anyways, best of luck with your house bro.

Yea dude, the smoke was so bad at my house yesterday. I live in Coquitlam right by the Fraser River in a small town called Mallardville(my life story). Anyways its gross. After awhile the smoke burns the nostrils. Its so weird having it all muggy though. I'm used to it being so clear. It looks like the air is so polluted now which sucks. The thick fog is slowly going away but it's still not the same as before. And best of luck dude. I'm thinking it won't get into houses, but who knows, it could get out of hand. Let's just hope it doesn't.

It is actually hectare, not hectacre.
It is a metric system of measurement. Usually for town planning, agriculture, etc...
It is 100 meters x 100 meters = 10,000 square meters.
