If your going to do rails then you should buy a bi-level snowskate. I have the burton refuge and I love it on box's/jumps. If I were you I would either get the Burton Junkyard because it slides rails fine and has easy landings of jumps. Personally I would not get a single deck snowskate.

yeah the approach is sick, I hate bi decks, but the approach is a nice link between the two styles of decks

snowskating needs to grow up and have bigger decks...bigger deck + bigger bottom deck = more control

matter or opinion I think the closer the skate size stays to real skateboards the faster/better the progression. . . .and I prefer snowskating to snowboarding hands down I havent ridden my snowboard in over a year

well can you carve on the approach all the technical wording they used on the site soprta threw me off. but i want more of a skateboard feel than a snowboard feel that i think the approach would give considering its lower to the ground.

so i hear GNU snowskates are good? I'm 6ft tall 180 lbs. which decks should I look into?

I'll want to do jump, rails, and whatever. I've snowboarded for 11 years and love it, so i wont be giving that up, but it would be fun as hell to setup some terrain to ride in my parents backyard up at our cabin. when the roads are covered with snow it would be pretty badass to have a truck pull me around on the snowskate too Twisted Evil

well Liek I said before Im not real impressed with bidecks. . but there are some good ones out there the Gnu ones are Ok personally I like what Premier has to offer the neat thing about a premier is you can get a good wood flat deck like the team deck with the 2-4-1 option which makes it so you can have it as a bideck or a single level skate if your not to sure what youd prefer Id say get a premier if you decide you want a bilev you can just buy the kit

the approach deck kinda seems to be the perfect option.. since it's possible to edging turns.. and from what I hear the bottom deck ( or ski or whatever) doesn't seem to catch on the rails at all like the bi-decks do..

what do you think ??????
