hey i learned wakeboarding over spring break, and since i have a crappy boat i started wakeskating a few weeks ago
i can ollie pretty good,
ive been tryin to do a toeside lip to shuvit cuz its only halfway
ive come really close, ive stuck one and then just ate it 2 seconds later
anyway, i did something different that time, i just forgot what... stupid me
so... i usually kick the board out infront of me and dont land on it
anyone know why
and also... everyone here should tell their friends about this site cuz it seems like theres 5 people here

Position your feet towards the heel edge of your board so that your heels are almost hanging off. When you shuvit, make sure you jump to where the board will be and not just straight up. |

A trick I found to get familar with spinning and catching the board is that you can take ur board (fins have to be off) and try to land shuv its on the carpet. You'll soon find that if you rock back on you tail then spin it (simulating popping it on the water), its alot easier to spin and more realistic. I've even been able to pop sum an inch or two off the ground. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

i learned them this summer and had most success in thr trough of the wake with my toes facing the wake, really focus on pushing down on your front foot first, then spinning the shuvit with both feet |

It took me probably about 12 tries to land my first pop-shuvit; like 4 in one session, then 8 in the next. So would that be about average, or what? I was just wondering, because I was kinda hoping that it would be a little bit above average since I can do shuvits on a skateboard really easily. |

Um, for a pop-shuvit on a wakeskate just try to pop the tail first, and then when you start to suck up your back foot, kick it towards the side where your heels are. Just keep your front foot right over the board so that you can catch the board when it turns 180 to keep it from over-rotating. Stay balanced, make sure you jump straight up (not off to the side), keep the rope in around your waist the whole time so it won't pull you over, and land on the board and ride away.
I hope that helped, if not there's a pop-shuvit trick tip on this website, so look at that, too. |
