I thought those hydrofoil things ran off of the current of the ocean, so I don't know if a pull from a boat would be able to equal that (it seems like it would, however), but I don't know if that's something I would want to try. It would be about as cool as one of those air chairs Rolling Eyes

It would be very lame IMO. The reason he uses them on big waves is because the chop is 6 ft high. And wakeskating isn't really about who can get the biggest air with a hydrofoil, it's about tech tricks and style. My 2¢...

I've thought about that before, it would probably be loads of fun. But i bet you'd quit the first time you took a hydrofoil to the shin.

he did that in Step into liquid. But, he had K2 step in snowboard bindings and boots holding him onto the board. I'm sure it could be possible with enough tweaking.. but the question is, do you really want to add a sharp piece of metal to the bottom of your board?? I think it would be pretty cool to try w/a wakeboard though, but then again having one foot come out of the boot and having the foil stab you in the face wouldn't be too much fun either.
