I've been riding behind an X-Star a couple of times lately... and I'm confused whether I like it or not.. haha.. (i know.. sounds stupid)..The wake is just huge!... I mean, its great for re-entry ollies and shuvits, inside out jumps and w2w.. BUT, for me its somehow completely off for liptricks ... obviously cos i'm lousy as well..... but what do you guys think? Anyone having the same problem?

I usually ride behind an average-ly loaded diesel X5... it has a pretty sweet wake.... relatively sharp at the lip and somewhat quarter-pipe like.... but nothing up to the knee level height and sharpness of the the X-star.. perhaps the constant pull of having a perfect pass on a petrol engine has something to do with it as well..

What kinda wakes do you guys ride on?

I personally love the X-star wake. I used to have an X-5 and I could get the wake close to the X-star wake, but not quite as big.

When I was in the mood to go ride behind a boat and just mess around and have fun, my favorite boat to wakeskate behind was my buddies 1984 Ski Nautique 2001 with no weight in it. The wake just felt perfect for me.

And I always like to get my wife or one friend and take off for an afternoon session behind the Sea Doo. Those days are always fun after work or late afternoon on the weekends.

Think some of the boats we get here are shipped seperately and the engine option is flexible, as its installed here (not exactly too sure as I don;'t have a boat myself.. but I think thats the case...). As far as I understand, diesel's good for maintenance, and hell lot cheaper to run... pull's just about as good as on petrol...

Thats awesome Dave... we're actually restricted from riding behind jet ski's in Singapore... Apart from the many other restrictions... haha...

Stussy, what's piece wakes?
