Shameless self-promotion. I won the intermediate division at a local contest yesterday. Check it out. You might have to scroll down a little ways to see the news article. My friends Jesh and Stu did some sweet stuff too.

One of the things that scores a lot of points is keeping a nice speedy carving line in between tricks. Highlights that I can remember are (in no particular order): tuck-knee indy (or del mar indy) over the tabletop, 5-0 to tail on the 6-foot quarter, an air and a board stall over the spine, some 50-50's in the bowl, a wall ride up the kinked vert wall, 50-50 over the rainbow rail, board slide up the slanted rail and a big grabbed backside air over the 90-degree hip. It was all a big improvised blur.

I am a big fan of the art of transition skating. Not trying to sound like a hippy, but I feel like there's so much more "soul" involved.

Yeah transfers are pretty cool. Id love to be able to do them. You should come here where the best trick on vert would be a blunt to rock to fakie or maybe a disaster. I wish i had the courage to go im comps (not that there many here) but i cant do tricks in front of people coz i dont wanna go arse up sounds stupid but yeah.
