What do you guys think about these skates? I just ordered the white panda complete from ccs. (only because I've rode my friends and thats what i feel comfortable with). Im brand new to skating, getting into it to improve my wakeskating. I know nothing about the skating industry, so where does Enjoi stand? (I hope its not the 484 of skateboarding! Laughing )

Enjoi is owned by or used to be owned by, and founded by Rodney Mullen , the man who invented the Kickflip and is the technical master, next to Dawon Song.. both crazy street skaters. Mullen is by far my favorite skater. I dont exaclty know whats going on wiht Enjoi now though, i know Mullen used to own it... im sure its still a great company and board, ive skated 2 or 3 of last years modles and they were pretty nice, i still perfer Habitat or Alien workshop.

I've had one, and my friend had one. Loses concave SUPER quick, but whatever. Was pretty durable for me, but definitely flat after a month of riding.

yeah, def. avoid ccs in the future. also avoid copelands sports. Buy your decks from local owned shops. there used to be 3 sick skater owned shops where i used to live, and the two big stores in town, who could give a chickity china the chinese chicken about skateboarding ran them out of business. support the little guy.

I wouldn't get an Enjoi. Even when Rodney Mullen did ride for them, I found out that their boards broke way too easily. Supposedly the new "ALMOST" company is using a different technology, a bit more expensive, but supposed to last a LOT longer (compared to Enjoi at least.)

RUSSIAN, preety much sumed it up. Skating also changed my life, I started just as an off season sport. Now I wakeskate and skate 50/50. It helps your wakeskating and its preety fun to cruz around with your friends looking for sick spots. Enjoy skating, I personally dont like enjoy decks because mine broke on a 6 stair ollie. Not very durable, you will learn more about boards and the industry as soon as you start to shred.

vance, ive been doing the same thing your doing, just getting into skating to improve wakeskating. I am riding on a friends crappy board....a ZORLAC....haha. anyways it suits my needs, and i am basically just learning to ollie big first before i do other stuff. Although I can hardflip somehow....and also i can do huge shuvs on it. Hardflips come from me trying to kickflip...im not consistent with either tho, i cant always land on the board, or it goes to the side.

grouch, you're right. it was marc johnson's gig for awhile.

And enjoi is under dwindle, which means those boards were pressed in china. If you do an internet search (or even search this site) you'll find out that there was a lot of controversy behind that.

haha whoooops. Well I got the board bc ive rode my friends and felt comfotable with it.

As for ccs.. 94 bucks for a complete deck.. you really cant beat that. My local shop had like 5 skates, and people told me perfski would over charge.\

vance, actually you can beat 94 if you know where to look. www.blankdecks.com is where you can get the cheapest stuff if you dont mind skating blanks. 100 and you get to pick all the parts. but whatever you already bought the board.
