How often do you guys break your decks?

I've broken boards after 30 days, consecutively, for three months. Nov 24, dec 26, and Jan 26.

All three i've broken the tails off... I need to work on landing with my feet over the trucks. Two broke after 4-5 ft ledge ollies, and one was from a simple kickflip! I'm 6ft and I weigh 180lbs so I know that has something to do with it.

drops where you land on flat ground kills decks...ive broken a few decks in my day...and most of my snapped decks came from loading docks or stair sets or other type drops. If you arent landing on a decline...it puts alot of pressure on your board that has to absorb all of the impact. Im 6 ft...160 lbs...and i used to snap about 3 decks dureing skate season...about 5 months when i skated. I think that you are about par for the course, i wouldnt worry that you are doing anything wrong in particular...
if you wanna skate hard...which is the only way to go...try to pick up a sponsor who will float you free decks...or get used to buying blanks...in bulk

Buying blanks are key... I usually break a deck every month or so when I'm into skating hard, but my shop has really nice blanks. I bought 3 last year for $120, and they've been my favourite decks EVER. As a tip though, Powell blanks suck - don't buy them. Check your local shops and they may have their own blank, which worked out great for me

I used to skate blanks, but they were all copelands boards since those are the only blanks for sale in my area's local skateshops. I got sick of them. But.. 50 bucks a month isnt too bad to support my skating addiction. Smile

I broke my Alva today. My front foot was up too far on the nose, and it snapped just past the front truck. My lil' bro has like a dozen new blank decks he's been painting and selling to his buddies. He said he got them on line for like 22 bucks a pop.

I break decks about 1-2 months, but ever since I got a Zoo York it's been going strong for 3 months and pop is still the same. Also another good lasting deck is Allien Workshop.

I've been breaking more decks (one every 1-2 months) because I've been skating everything including more street, I broke my last deck on a fs disaster on parking barrier set up at the top of an obliviously made concrete transition. It ought to just have "skateboard here" written all over it...

www.315co.com My friend Shawn runs this company, it's a pretty cool little gig he has going, they're fairly cheap decks ($30) and last a while.

i skated for about 5 hours last saturday. My brand new deck already has pressure cracks. Laughing I was ollieing out of a half pipe, and doing a 8 stair drop.

I have a feeling that if I skate 3-4 more days like i just did last weekend, my board is going to be history.

when I used to skate every day, I went through 2 or 3 a month, but luckily I was managing a friends skate shop at the time so employee discount whoo hoo.
