A forum where people talk about boards. People can talk about whether there board is cracking or delaming (or whatever is happening to it). People can talk about how good a board it as well. People can ask questions about a board if they are new, and so on.

In the main forum a lot of this is going on already, so it would clear that up.
People have been complaining that others are posting so much about how the bi-level is cracking, or delaming and so on. Some people hate this, but this is valuable info to possible buyers of it. I know I'm thinking about buying a new board, so I like to hear all of this --but I also want the truth. It'd be a forum where people can only talk from what they know, and just not make things up.
Also, people that have delam probably can post about it there, and people can respond on how to fix it. Lets face it, wakeskates aren't going to last forever and do have problems, so this forum would clear up everything more I think.

This forum would be very valuable to many people I think, so what do you say Dave, and others? Just an idea that might help.

That would be cool.

Wakeskate Forum

Place to talk about your skates, delams, warps, whateva.

That place would have to be moderated extremely heavily though, that's the only thing. Arguments would arise pretty quickly

i think the site is fine. it would just get confusing if you make more boards.

if anything, make a word games board.

I'm glad everyone likes this idea so far, except Greg T (he can be shot though Rolling Eyes ) JK.
Anyways, I somewhat agree with you Greg that we are getting too many boards here, but if thats the case rails and Cable riding should be combined. They get little action, and this new forums that I'm proposing will probably get a lot of attention.
The word games just need to go though! haha.

Dave and others (maybe I) can make rules for this forum so it is used properly and not abused....also so it has a useful purpose.

what we really need is a board where people can discuss issues with different manuf. and so forth combine some of the other things and just have a flat out rant/beach board... that way the board section can be informative, and for people that want to beach about nonsense they can use the rant forum.

As for greg, i think the untimate goal here is to have more talk about wakeskating and less talk about crap... there is a non-wakskating forum for you to post all the word games you want.

I've seen this on other forums, make a forum called the reviews section. That way they can "review" the board or handle or snow sled or whatever.

SleuCrew, I am sure YOU would have the self control, to confine your rants to the rant forum, but the other 98 percent concerns me, and that would have to be more moderated than a presidential debate

Fredrick_Eisenhauer, I think it should go further than a review board though. Something where people can say 'my board cracked' or delamed. Yes it might have been a defect, but if more people say that then it's not. Also, it will help buyers.
Also, it'd be a fix my board board/forum. So if somethign happens, this is where you can find help. (delam, sealing, cracks, painting, gripping, etc)
Also, people can put down a board, but in good manners. Saying why they dont like it, constructively.

It would jsut take the review aspect further.

But why limit it to just boards? Why not kill 2 birds with one stone and just have everything in one?

Cause thats what the skateboarding and other board sports forum/board is for. If it were how I view it and have been saying, it'd be more useful for members and newcomers, as well as it would get more hits. (There won't be many reviews for a snow sled, or anything besides wakeskating related.) Possibly a Board and Accessories forum/board.....but it would be wakeskate related only. So handles would be included, as well as shoes, and whatever else. But I say leave other non-wakeskating related items out.

Kento... sadly i have to agree, I think this could be very constructive for buyers and manuf. alike though. Dave should really put some serious thought into this idea.

Alot of people dont know what to use to repair boards or even how to the proper way... hell i have seen quite a few posts with kids that didint even know how to re-grip a skate properly.

SleuCrew, sad but true

yeah, if anything this place needs a NOOB forum that deletes itself every night, that way it wouldn't have to be modded

I am open to anything you guys think will improve the site and improve your experience when using the site. I would like to see you guys come to some kind of a conclusion on it, that way I will know what you guys want. Would that be possible?

Dave Barousse, as much as wakeworld makes me wanna poop, I think you could do a board guide like them, and then have a review/comment post, that would be a good compromise, thats my suggestion, that way it wouldn't be a forum, and may avoid some the "drama" associated with making a dedicated forum for said topic

I think a making a seperate board/forum is better than what kento911 suggested. Not that it's a bad idea, but I dont think Dave has enough time to write them all up.

Also a board/forum would enable anyone to post about there own experience with the board. Not that Dave would favor one board or company over another, but then others could speak up from their experience.
Also, people could talk about delam problems, as well as other problems that occur with boards. Future buyers could then see, 'oh this board has has delam problems'.
Also, people could learn to fix their boards, just as SleuCrew said.

Plus, in "General Wakeskating" there are just so many topics about boards, this forum/board would help organize this situation a lot.

I just think this would help the site the best.

Dave doesn't have to do it all himself,

I like your idea, problem is as a mod I can tell you that will be the single worst board on here, people generally get in dumb arguements over this stuff, maybe you can suggest a solution to that issue, b/c my idea was the best compromise I could find

Strict rules for the forum/board. Something such as: "Don't post on topics you know nothing about. Be credible." And so on.

More mods? Maybe...or maybe a couple mods just for that forum. If things get out of hand, the post till be deleted. If someone keeps posting BS, they get warned, or Dave is told. This would be posted in the rules, so people dont have to ask why there post is deleted.

I know it might be hard, but I think it's a better thing to try and work out the kinks, then to not. This whole board has matured, so it might be possible.
