Nice photos stompin9s! Below is the ranting of a jaded ex-snowboarder; if I offend anyone in any way, I apologize . . . .

Snowboarding was once a great sport. People were inventing new tricks; new styles emerged on a regular basis, and people rode because they loved the sport.

Now, when you read TWSnow, you’ve got to flip past Chevy Truck ads and US Armed forces ads. You go to the terrain park, and it’s a contest to see who’s got the newest studded belt and gold plated bindings.

I am so grateful that friends of mine introduced me to Wakeskating. As a sport, wakeskating is now where snowboarding once was. I just hope that it doesn’t turn into the circus that snowboarding has now become.

With that said, however, I am grateful for picking up the sport. I’ve had a lot of good memories on the snow. Below are some photos from Japan – the greatest place on earth for snowboarding.

Yes!

I can't think of a red head teenager who scores more chicks. Japanese girls were on that kid like white on rice. That was taken at the Toyota Big Air after party in Sapporo. That kid's got some skills.

Good times.

The only thing that bugs me about snowboarders are the people who havent even learned to turn or ride yet and they still go straight for the park everyday.

They can barely make it up the jumps. I dont even see how that could be fun.
