Can u burn dvd's on window media? or is there another standard program that allows u to burn dvds?

no, you cant burn dvds with wmp. Are you trying to burn like a movie you made or copy a movie? If you're making one I use WinDVD creator and to copy existing movies i use DVD X copy platinum which is only for archival back ups and is also off the market so I hope that helps.
