Just finished dinner. Beer now, while I ready the skis, bike, and boat for the Colorado trifecta tomorrow!!
Gonna ski Berthoud pass in the morning, then take the boat out for some wetsuit weather surf sessions, then do some sweet mountain biking before sunset!

Well I learned pretty much everything that I'd ever wanted to learn on a wakeskate, accomplished nearly every goal I ever set out for myself within the sport, and the adventure of pursuing wakeskating has gone a million times further than anyone could've guessed or that I could've dreamed... And the adventure continues.
I still come back to Florida for most of the summer, to see all my friends/family, to ride what's left of The Wakeskate Tour & the other contests that come up, and use the resources available to me to wakeskate all over the world when I can, but I live on the west side of Maui now; surfing, fishing, freediving, wakeskating, & living the good life. Weird to think that I started posting here when I was 13 or 14, and now I'm coming up on 30.
A heads up for all you fire guys (there are a lot of you, jeez) – while I'm still focusing on wakeskating as my main gig, I've also been moonlighting as a helicopter pilot & I'm planning on eventually hopping over to the southwest to help with big fires from the air, once I'm good enough & qualified for it So I guess what I'm saying is, don't be surprised if one day in the future, you're out in the bush fighting to hold the line & the helicopter pilot re-loading his bucket downstream looks kinda familiar

Hey nick,
Nice to see that you've still got the passion for wakeskating but more importantly you're broadening your horizons. I just retired from flying choppers (active & reserve) for the past 25 years so if you've got any flying related questions feel free to drop me a line.
Sorry PIRATE, didn't mean to go off in a tangent.

nick, that’s awesome man! I remember that 15yr old kid and the Nikes in the Kampus flat deck.... I loved that era of wakeskating.
doubleg, the forums belong to the people!! No worries my guy. Since your not flying anymore what are you up to? _________________

Nick!! Long time no see buddy!! I've been creepin on you via instagram, I've loved watching you progress!
So cool how long this has been going on, I don't remember when I first came to this page, but I seem to remember Nick as about 14-15 when I first showed up on scene.
I've thought about becoming a flight medic, love those birds! I got some friends who are heli-attack firefighters, they love it.
PIRATE, I'm a 6 year guy. Just out here living the good life.. Except I broke my leg 3 days ago, so I guess I'm stuck on light duty for the next few weeks... At least it's winter time.
How long have you been LHCFD?
Raven!!!!! You crazy son of a gun! Damn I've missed skating with you! I would love to do the "Take Me To The Bay - The Pocomoke Classic!" _________________

Hey t-rex, my time then was split between H225M Super Pumas (the equivalent of Black Hawks in the US) and Apaches. While it was fun putting steel downrange, it was equally if not more fulfilling doing rescue work.

That's awesome dude. We are nothing if not for the guys on the ground that keep us flying. I totally respect how you can do that in the confines of a ship out at sea _________________
