Good job guys at wake the line, I saw the finals on the live feed. Nick what was that you slipped out on looked like the up-ramp was uneven or something but you came back with an awesome third pass I thought just popped the handle on the last hit but still a nice run. Austin rode really good too and it was great to see Andy kolb back in action.

could also be him not wanting to take a skate internationally, and just used what was available, that also happens to be a great advertisement opportunity for Leaf? either way = awesome.

I bet someone could have found him a WM skate overseas if he actually needed one. Interesting though.

I saw a WM story(snapchat) on insta of a top view of someone riding a leaf a min ago. also didnt he ride the older shape once since the new ones have come out? I know he was on a '16 at VWC for the kflip out sequence. Either way I think it will all be fine. I just hope Leaf gets their website going and can get some info to the interested parties that might want to see a board from multiple angles before buying one.

I think that the LEAF I saw Tmax with sure looked a lot like Robins(new) old work than the new WM skates, but I do know they have been looking at keeping the boards coming to the shelves and that its-self has probably more to do with it.

I just put in an order for my "Life's a Beach" 39.5 WM

Can't wait to get it out on the water.

JCB_Mutiny, Thanks dude, we had a great time over there! I blew my second run by edging over & picking up a water bottle at the end of the flatwater stretch in the big pool, throwing it into the crowd, & then not having enough time to correct my trajectory up the big plastic ramp into the upper pool. I drifted to port side just enough to smack my board into the side of one of the rails up top & backflop into the pool Laughing

I had a lot to say about the event in general on the shitshow that happened on Myles Vickers' negative instagram post, but it looks like it's been deleted. To sum it up, I think it's pretty rad that they continue to include us in such a high-profile event that does fine without us, giving us the chance to show tens of thousands of potential new riders what we do, even if it is taking place on a course not exactly tailored to our needs & wants. Doing a kickflip in the flatwater stretch & hearing thousands of people cheer for it; that will always be worthwhile to me.

As for Austin's choice to ride a Leaf instead of a WaterMonsters deck... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Daniel grant is obviously a ruler; 2nd place at the first stop of the wakeskate tour and now winning wake the line. He was also ripping on the shred town set up on a wakeskate.

Wake the line still seems pretty rad--the crowd looks bigger than any wake event in the US.

And, well, I just like this: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Was there any better recap of the event? Other than a couple wakeskate tricks?
