|
|
Anyone got any good video of one of them? I was trying a bunch today and getting pretty close. The thing that throws me off is focusing on two separate components... the 540 front big and spotting the board during rotation for landing, and then the 360 body varial.. usually with the front 360 i look over my shoulder to help spin faster... but with the bigger spin im forced to look down to watch the board spin so it slows my body rotation down which reduces my chance of passing the handle quickly enough. I was mostly landing on the board with my feet in the center to close if i focused on the front big , or i would completely miss the handle if i watched the board. Thanks for the help!!
I will try to film a few time i ride. |

-=AlexXx=-, I finally got my first one last night. What I really focused on was as soon as I popped the big spin I took the handle and brought it into the small of my back so I could get the handle pass. It really helped me a lot. |

-=AlexXx=-, Just start by doing a front big and sliding the rest of the way, but get to where you can do that all in one motion. then once you've got that you should be able to figure out the rest. |

I love that video...it inspired the heck out of me when it came out. I was mostly obsessed with leo's front bigs and the frontside shuv, backside revert.
And those WERE good videos--he hasn't even done anything with kevin, so it's interesting. I thought they were going to be a team of sorts. Could be my misunderstanding.
I was reading all of this crap about tony hawk and I think tas pappas and the 900, and all of the accusations that were slung around. One thing tony said is you can't learn a trick from a video or a sequence. And I think in many ways, it's so true. I think they give you ideas of what to try and trouble shoot, but they don't capture things like weight distribution, feeling, and actually getting your body to do what you need it to do. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

electricsnow, Eh i def agree you arnt gunna watch the video and instantly stomp the trick, but i think without the video it would be a lot harder to comprehend... I think once thomas got the first kickflip on video ALOT more people started landing them cuz they got to see exactly how he was doing it, foot placement, landing, how he cut out. A lot of trial and error goes into big tricks, i cant even fathom coco's new w2w stuff... its mind blowing. |
