So how does it all work? Don't ever half to walk out your line?

Nope its one winch running two directions, with two ropes.

Basically a 2.0 using trees as towers, pulleys and batteries.

So a 2.0 goes back and forth continually. Does this do the same? Keep going back and forth over and over?

And if it does I imagine it is much cheaper than a 2.0. Will you come and install it places?

Yep tow both ways. And it's portable. You set it up yourself.
$5000 for a 2.0

Can you actually do a continious ride like a system 2.0? looks like on the video you have to stop at each end and re-set up.

You can.

My cove is so short I could only make turns around the rail. We made pallets to slide on and off for the added length of riding.

By the time you are off the rail and tried a trick you'd be in the bank. If you have ever seen the size requirements between the lil bro and the system 2.0 to have turns and not have turns it might make more sense.
I also am on the fence about weather or not to include the ability for turning in the final production models due to the extreme danger of setting this up (directionally winching vs turns requires a large amount of tension on the lines) You really have to be careful combining 1200ft of line on 2 spools, 3 pulleys, with 48volts and 20mph, (while you are at it throw a trick in there) then at the end of that line give her a turn. Shocked Its intense. I'm just happy winching without walking.

The turns would just be a hooker down under the icing on your cake.
(I mean really I got a two direction tow going for under 60k and people are like "but will it turn?!?!?!?!" lol) _yes if you have the room, I'm just doing what I can getting this thing going and out there for you to see (no film crew, daddy moneybags, team of engineers, energydrinkmogules, or vast crew to help me setup) plus robby and I are 8 hrs away from each other (ive had to learn how to wire and adjust the programming myself for this)(and our wives are completely over this project Laughing )

I guess what will end up happening will be this.
These are going to be built to order, per customer.

Options would include :

Speed adjustment (on the fly)

Turns

Stationary or portable system

220v or 110v power requirement

Gearing for Larger or smaller riders

spool sizes dependent on avg length of ride area

---------------------------------------------

I also think that this system will not be available to everyone to start.

Shits dangerous really. This requires a seriously dedicated wincher. Fliptricks and spins are not required to get one, but I feel like there will be a training / setup class or something to the effect to show you how not to kill your friends. Laughing

I got my arm against the lines over the weekend. If the second winch line touches you while riding.... well ...here is the math on it

Say you are riding at 20mph north the other line on the system is moving 20mph to the south. If that rope touches skin its touching it at 40mph right? It cuts skin with no problem Confused

I am working with a few other ideas on the proto. (maybe ver2 will have these newest features im testing now) but VER1 FINAL is filmed in action, and I will be releasing it as soon as I can.

So sick! I hope you get some of the kinks out and sell tons of these.

That would be so cool to see 2.0 parks popping up everywhere that are actually really affordable to ride.

Gnarly Dancer 42, Thanks man, the only major kink I have right now is the Patent $$$$. Anyone want to let me borrow 20k? Rolling Eyes
As soon as it is done I will show everyone how it works and pics and video.

-=AlexXx=-, Thanks man. It was all a dream. I used to read wakeskate magazine.

I also have a few ideas on how to use this without trees Crazy Eyes

But the real hero is the man in IL Robby Bailey (robsmaze). Without him we wouldn't be able to take my hairbrain ideas and put them into operational devices. Also shoutout to our wives for letting us spend $ and multiple trips from CHi to Knox to see if my stupid idea would actually work Laughing

I am confident in the system. I have enough time behind it to think it is ready to be released.

Unfortunately the business side of things is going to be a while longer. I don't want to wait to get these things to the people!

We are just going to make and sell 5 this summer. So people can get them and start using them.

That way "if' we are acquired or decide to sell the winch system to someone else the wakeskaters got a shot at getting one while WE were still the guys building them.

Those first 5 winch customers will get to see the winch first. Add any input as we assemble their winches, and be in on the ground floor of what this system is going to do for the private winch park idea.

I hope we can get a few out to people who share our idea of what these things will be able to do.

Not buy one and never use it or let other people ride it.

hit us up if you are interested

I was wondering what happened to those guys that built "The Hive" winches back in the day.

I would be interested to see how they have theirs setup and working.

Its not the same as mine. Ive been talking with them. Super cool how similar our designs are. And considering I have been chasing the quality of the HIVE's pull since Zak stone came to carlsbad and pulled me. Frye and Chris Cut, and Reed showed me wakeskating for the first time. But nothing after the HIVE has come close to the quality of the pull. Until we made the 1st boodog. Then I got my partial idea from the HIVE construction.

So when I saw this I had to talk with him. They are super into taking winching further. In a world of dying support for the community its refreshing to see other people trying to change the accessibility of wake/board/skate/ing.

Their winch is completely different though.

I am not using two motors.

I am also super cautious of having the ropes that low after I tore my arm open on my winch.

I also dont want wireless. (say your arm/leg/neck gets caught in those ropes, You really think you are going to be able to stop that winch by hitting the button on the handle, or your pocket?)

Renting that device for a month is $4000 US.
The Hive msrp over 10k when it was sold.
They have not released if this will even be available to the public.

So ours cost less and is available for purchase.

But basically its the same idea when you look at the rider getting around the water.

Got a new system setup for a ski facility.
They wanted a driverless winch and paid us to figure it out.
Runs off a touch screen. Tug the handle and you are away.

Now we can scale that system and set it up for wake (so thank a skier next time you are on the slopes)

going to have to make a decision soon on what to build and ride next summer

the 2.0 was so sweet but so much work ( i need like every afternoon to ride it , own my property, beni's concrete skills, and a crew like the goonies to make it worth the effort, also decent disposable feature building funds)

I think I am going to just use this new driver less rig for a summer and see what we can make of it.

plus it is going to be much smaller than previous winches
