I can check with the ad server team and have them remove that ad. I think the only ad you guys are really having a problem with must be coming from the skin tag spot. Those are really the only ads that are actually paying.
On a side note.. How about one of you wakeskaters become the ad salesman for the site and we can remove all the ads that are not from paying wakeskate companies? If you think you can sell ads and want 20-30% commission lets talk. PM me. _________________ Wakeskating

Or
We can open up a Paypal donation page and we the users can donate some money to offset the cost of the ads? _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

I would do this. How much does a site like this cost to run?
I bet we could come together and make it happen. Different donation amounts get different rewards, like picking a picture for the top banner etc. |

We would like to get enough ad rev so we can use that for more content, maybe be able to pay esnow for all the hours she works on the website. The initial costs of buying the domain and site from Dave was not free and has yet to pay that 'loan' back to myself. _________________ Wakeskating

If you're worried about collecting 20 or 30 bucks from someone who hasn't been on the site in years it's a safe assumption that esnow getting paid is rather chimerical. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

Frye, you response is less than coherent.
How do you know how much it takes to run this site or how much it was sold for?
I suggest you head on over to wakeworld if ws.com is harshing your buzz |

I think it's crazy to expect flixmaster to run this site for free. This site is a hub for wakeskaters and should have value to it. So many companies use this site to better their own, which shows that this site does have value to it. |

I'm sorry if you don't understand my posts or if they don't make sense. I try my best; even after 10 years I'm still learning forum etiquette.

It is public information.
Since you asked:
This site takes 3 things to make it work. The domain, the hosting, and the framework it runs on.
The domain is what you type in to your computer to get here. You can find information about it with a thing called Whois. http://who.is/whois/wakeskating.com Namesecure.com shows domains for 14.95 a year, and that's pretty expensive for a domain. GoDaddy has them for 99 cents right now.
You can do the same thing for the hosting: http://www.whoishostingthis.com/wakeskating.com
It doesn't even look like Servint offers website hosting anymore, but for sites like this you could spend anywhere between 5-20 dollars a month. Ed has a lot of sites so this cost is divided among them.
The framework is phpBB. This is a free software.
As users we supply the content to this forum, and we generate traffic for ad revenue.
You're right I do not know if it was sold or if there was drama between Dave and Ed. I didn't see any.

I have been on this site a long time and have seen the amount of work esnow has put in to it. I know she loves wakeskating and enjoys doing it, but it sucks to consistently see more advertisements over the years and it being blamed on "trying to pay esnow." _________________ 407-212-7425 |

Frye, "people" implies more than one person. And more than one person should have a perspective in content. And I'm not saying I'm above and beyond anything or deserve anything--correct me if I ever have. Stop using me in your argument for why you think ed is full of crap. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

electricsnow, I speak from experience, running a website is hard work. And you run this. Thank you. Also, just kidding about my experience running a website. _________________ www.unicornofthesea.com |
