As the title suggest I have a fear of hitting the rails and obstacles at the cable park.

If you had a similiar problem how did you get over it?

In order to get over your fear of obstacles, you must attempt them... you'll be very happy you did in the long run.

At a cable park most obstacles are on either side of the straight a ways so make sure you take a nice steady edge towards them.

Start with something small and basic, like a funbox and something you can ride up onto.

Hope this helped.

I built up my confidence. First I did kickers, then a fun box, then a rail.

You'll try it. You'll fall. You'll be fine. You'll realize there isn't anything to be too scared about. You'll shred happily ever after.

A.Rodriguez, Just give it a go. I'm amazed at some of the stuff I can do when I just say "fvck it". Almost landed the double mini-gap a-frame at OWC last time I went on the first try.

If you're thinking about hitting any of the objects with an ollie on as opposed to riding straight on, try it from the side at the end, that way if you're positioned wrong you will come off onto water. Once you get more comfortable with the rail start further back. Before you know it you'll be hitting the whole thing.

just remember to have alot of momentum leading up to it, because if you dont the cable will pull the slack out of the line while you're on the rail, pulling you towards the center of the straight away and off the rail.
and maybe if you got a pair of those fancy Aquarium Hardgoods nubs, you would have this problem Twisted Evil
