my larger 12V battery died so I switched to 2 6V in series, if you have an electric winch or electric start winch, I suggest get the voltmeter and solar charger from Harbor Freight, cost effective and extremely practical

we've been looking at adding an electric start to our winch. My question is this; Can we keep our pull start in tact as back up in case batteries die or something breaks?

btw, looks like you trained your dog to pull start your winch for you...

Yes you can keep pull start for back up and i believe when running it charges battery back up. Motercycle battery should be more rhan enough or lawn mower battery.

U can also make a hook up to attach to trailer type plug to start it or like an electric winch hook up
