I have just installed a TAV2 purchased from bulletlines.

My Problem:

The spool is still rotating when the engine is at low revs. Thus it makes it harder to walk the rope back out.

Does anyone know how to fix this? and/or experienced it themselves?

I NEED your help!

Once the belt gets broken in it'll get easier, I just put a new belt on mine and it definately got harder to pull out. If you don't want to wait for it to get broken in you can turn the winch off and take the belt off until the rope is all the way out and then put the belt back on.

the belts take time to break in this is true, you can also adjust the rpm at which the driven unit engages but that hasnt done much for me in the past, you do that by moving the spring between the three small holes on the face of the driven unit

Loosen up the chain a little if you can, should make the rope easier to pull out, we usually pull all the rope out in front of the winch then walk it out so we can all do a little turn pulling out the rope, its cute

I've got the same problem with the Tc2 clutch. The belt is sooo tight I can't pull it out. I've tried putting washers behind the different parts in order to help line up the belt at different angles to minimize friction on the belt at idle with no success. I thought running it wide open for a while would help stretch that bad boy out, but no success.
