ok guys im getting to the point where i need to start learning

but we only have big rails and ledges at the skatepark here in chi
no small handrails

http://www.sitedesigngroup.com/projects/details/chicago#

so on that point , im having a bit of a mental debate to step up and just start going for those big guys or trying to learn little grinds on the tiny manny pad

my problem is i want to boardslide...

i can convince myself to hit the big guys bc i mean wakeskating we have to hit stuff at speed , and i can 180 high enough to get on one

so should i start with the big guys or start trying to get a nose slide from a 180 on the pic of that first ledge

whats easier

long flatbar rail

or slowly getting closer to the ledge with a 180 till i can put my nose on it

i just wish we had a low flatbar i could start sliding first

what did you learn first?

i can 50-50 the corner of the manny pads but im ready to move on and there isnt much of an in between at the park
its a 1/2ft manny pad to a 3-4 foot tall 12ft long flat bar or ledges

im going to get some knee pads
elbow pads
wrist guards
shin guards
helmet
mouth guard
ankle braces
my dirtbike chest protector
padded compression shorts for moto(protects the whold mid reagon)
a cup
Laughing
no i dont have health insurance

if you want to learn noseslides you definitely want to start on a ledge and not a rail or flatbar. it will be easier to commit and the falls wont be as bad

POPTART, do whatever you want and feel comfortable with but ya a boardslide would probably be easier to learn on flatbar before a noseslide on a ledge. Just remember to ollie onto the rail and not just throw yourself into the boardslide

so you think i could ollie onto that center rail from photographers prespective
easier than coming to the camera and trying to nose slide that ledge???

thats the smallest rail at the park
and smallest ledge
