horgmo landed his first triple cork in competition in the x games big air last night. i was mind blown, i knew he claimed it this summer and it was in his part but i had no idea he'd pull it out here. crazy.
edit*it wasnt really a triple cork more of a triple flip 180

agreed. x games has turned into a popularity contest. this triple had no style compared to anything else even horgmo said it " the gayest trick ive ever done" just how white takes wins for his bad styled double mctwists and for just being shaun white.

I kind of don't care one way or the other because generally I think that guy is a ripper, and ten years from now you won't care about shaun white and what contests he won and how he looked while winning them. But I will say that the "triple cork" does look like a triple backflip, so it's weird to have it be all pumped up as a "triple cork."

torstein is super sick i love his style and i think he goes big...but the dude who got second (sebastian toutaunt) should have won the contest. it was based on the 2 highest scores. he went last and only needed a 29 for the win. he threw down a perfect trick ( i think switch backside 1o or 12) any way he sticks it and they only gave him a 26 while he should have easily been in the 30s with that trick...

yeah, that link is a much better one. crazy stuff! i think the face that snowboarders can build bigger and bigger jumps helps the sport progress, and the face that wakes can only get so big is going to be the down fall of wakeboarding.

i was looking in the new alliance and there's a sequence of harley clifford doing his nose grab "mobe 7." a mobe is an invert with a handle pass 3+ alliance is now calling it a rodeo 10. i can see where they are getting this, but at the same time it's confusing. what is parks' switch double back mobe then? what is a mobe really then? the 10 year alliance does have some SICK skate shots if you haven't seen it yet.

mojo, that is a little confusing, but i would love for wakeboarding to start naming things better.. "rodeo" is a more familiar term. because it is already in snowboarding, its not like wakeskating calls kickflips something different than skateboarding.

- i guess you get silly wake names from young teenage parks and shane inventing them..

miller, he got second in slope style and fourth in big air. He was sent to Austria right after xgames and won gold over there (I heard it was a 20g purse) latest ive heard is he's now on his way back to north america

miller, I've only met the prodigy a few times. My friend adam burwell (runs grassroots wakeboarding) is really good buds with him. He's first in the province for wakeboarding and wakeskating but they are only side projects for him. He's unbelievable to watch skate, he'd blow your mind. 2 years ago I saw him doing switch back ones and landing way out in the flats.... and that was when he was 15.

price.dan, I remember you talking about McMorris on a skate ripping.
You should talk with Burwell and get some email addresses for any skaters and we will send out invites.

I leave for Orlando right now so we will have a meeting when I get back next week.
