Any of you cats like some underground Hip Hop. It doesn't even have to be that underground...just some stuff that's not the top BET video jazz. I have really started to get into it quite a bit. If I would have told myself that I would like hip hop in any form 5 years ago I would have never believed it but now its the majority of what I listen to. Some of my favorites are Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, The Roots, Hieroglyphics, Atmosphere, Blackalicious, Jurassic 5, Brother Ali, Goodie Mob, Dilated Peoples...the like. If anyone has some good recommendations go ahead and list em off, I always love new tunes.

Immortal Technique, no my fav, but he's got killer flow try I think its called "obnoxious"
Sweatshop Union- "the thing about it"-"better days"
Swollen Members- "lady venom"-"Fuel injected"-"Watch This", and anyhtin you can find
Zion I- IDK the titles of the songs, b/c it's a burned cd from a friend, but they are in "Reflections"
Pete Rock- Same as above IDK the names burned cd
Codename:Scorpion- "Jampacked"-"Rifle Association"-"So Way Out"
Planet Asia- "Pure Coke"-"The Golden Age"
Scapegoat Wax- "Revenge of the Dope Fiend Beat"-"We got Something feat.J Deville"
Dead Prez-"Hip Hop", I heard this is on MTV now, but IDK I never watch it, awesome song though, from one of the original political hiphop groups
Even though he's pretty popular, Kanye West's cd is really good nice Underground Flavor

Does any-one know the name of the song from the bonus section in Reflections, the one that starts off with Keith Lyman jumping off the dock?

wakeskate537, i used to agree with, adn i still dont like it, but since my best freind is so invovled in rap and he makes all his own music and beats i have found a respect for it, because you need just as much musical talent to dl everything invovled in rap as you need to play most other genres of music

wakeskate537, hey retard hip hop isnt rap. rap is like bullshat nelly and cashmoney shat. hip hop is all about style, lyrics, and beats. not bling bling. dont be an ignorant f_ck and make a retard statement. open ur ears and feal the music for wat it is and not wat genre it is.

"people under the stairs" are really good! oh and deltron 3030.

HighRida, im gna go out on limb here but i dont think icp and kmk is hip hop. anyone else think so?

i hope u give it a try. seriously check out how much of these cats have lyrical madness. its an amzing art that these people can do and is mind blowing at times. sorry i went off but one of my biggest petpieves is people being ignorant (not stupid, just not knowing wat their talking about).
