Does anyone have or know of any links to free blue prints for a mini ramp? I'm looking for something 3.5 - 4 ' high and 16' wide.

I have rough plans. I don't have the actual dimensions...but I have a great design. I worked at a skateboarding school, and we had a pro (Aerial Stagney...not sure on the spelling) come in and build us these kick ass mini-ramps. The cool thing about them was they seperated into two main parts...and if you stood them upright they took up almost no space. This was key for us because space, and mobility was key. If you are interested, let me know. I'll see if i can come up with a sketch or something for you.
Peace out,

Thanks bro. If you could send that to me it would be very cool. I'm not worried about moblity, it's going to be in my back yard. How much do you think it would cost?

Screw everything...no nails
For sake of simplicity of the drawing...i neglected some additional support 2x4s of even 2x2s that will make it more sturdy...like under the top deck and behind the PVC coping. Basically, anywhere where there is adjoining plywood, you should support it with a 2x4.
Try and make sense of the drawing...and if you have any questions...post them and i will try to answer as clearly as i can. Something like this is always complicated to expain over the internet.
Something like this will cost you ~ $150 - $250 maybe more, by the time you are done. And it will take pretty much a full afternoon to build. You will need a power drill, skill saw, and a table saw will make straight cuts much easier.
Although the drawing is a bit deceptive...on a mini ramp this small...there should be absolutely NO VERT. If you make the tranny too steep, it will be useless to ride. The curve should be very gentle and it should represent about 1/8 of a "pipe"...not a 1/4. Do not confuse a mini ramp with a quarter pipe. I made that mistake once...and it cost me alot of time and money.
If you are planning on leaving this in one spot, you can even secure the two sections together to make it even more stable.
I hope this gives you some place to start.
If you are going to make a piece of equipment...please...don't do it half-assed. For your own safety. Don't leave exposed screw heads, and make sure everything is secure before you ride it. Give everything a good inspection before using it for the first time.
Enjoy!
