I have a subaru 7hp motor and I removed the governor but now when I start it it takes off full throttle and theres now way stop it. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?

check your throttle adjuster, the little knob that turns and increases the RPMs, sometimes the can get stuck...... Confused

try hooking the throttle linkage right up to the carb. when i removed mine on my briggs, i just hooked the throtle rod right to the carb. easy and simple to do.

Get on affordable go karts.com. They have throttle linkage kit for the removal of governors on these engines. Think it around 14$. I had to do this on my Honda gx200. It also required minimal mods to the throttle lever mechanism. Dremel tool makes it a quick job.

your throttle is wide open, that's a common problem for your first gov removal
