i recently started wakeskating on the local cable line. i'm having trouble keeping the wakeskate stuck to my feet when hitting the kicker.
here's what i'm doing:
i ride goofy. the kicker is to the right of the cable. i start by going a fair distance to the left of the cable then 20 odd meters before the kicker i go hard on the heelside edge, cutting right, picking up speed. just before the kicker i flatten the board and soak up the kicker with my knees, bending down.
i take off the kicker and jump but the skate just falls from underneath my feet as i start the downward trajectory of the jump, i.e. as i start going down towards the water. how do i keep the skate stuck to my legs throughout the jump?
btw, i ride a concave skate with foam top. |
