I don't think it does. The only thing it helped me with was the ollie rhythem i think. I'm more consistant on a wakeskate than i am on a skateboard with shuvs and stuff.

If you skate enough, yeah. I've skated for about 7 years now and it definetly helps with knowing the feel/rhythm of certain tricks. But if you're going to skate, go out and do it a lot.

nope but if u dont know if ull ride a lot i would suggest a ccs mailorder blank complete, so u can get good hardwear and at a low price and if u like it than u will have a good set up for ur next board and if not than u didnt waste a lot of money

I'm personally against CCS, they are whores... Support your local real skate shop, they have blanks and can hook you up with good cheap stuff.

G-squadriderz, for a deck "girl" , trucks "venture" or "tensor", wheels " flip sidecuts" bearings, "diamonds", and grip i use jessup or black magic.

i like krux, destructo, venture, and ti-lites. dont get independants cuz the axle slips easily, if u have money for bearings and want the best go with black panthers or bones swiss. if not ive had good luck with lucky, quickies and speed demons, and wheels dont matter much but i loved the last pair of rictas i had.

i love to support my local shop too but seriously for a ccs graphic or blank u can get any normal priced bearing truck and risers and hardwear. for all of my local shops its at least 75 before tax and thats with crap trucks and wheels and shop bearing that dont last and risers are extra. i buy all of my individual needs local tho. like decks are the same price when it comes down with the shipping or tax.

headhuntermx4, how did you slip your independent axle? I had the same pair of Indies for almost 2 years and they never slipped with all my primos and temper tantrums...

Tensors aren't the best quality. They seem to be made of a granier material then other trucks and wear down quicker when you grind alot. There pivot cups also wear away really quick.

Probably buy everything you want and have it put together. Contrary to what some others say, most decks are just 30 dollar decks with 20 dollar graphics, so if it isn't a big deal to you, just buy a blank for now.

The newer Independent trucks (stage 9 I think?) don't feel that heavy, not heavy enough to effect my ninja shifties. But that might just be me.

Bones wheels are the best. They never flatspot unless you hit a pebble and skid 20 feet.

G-squadriderz, if youre ding this just to get betterat wakeskating i wouldn't recomend it becasue you wont go enough tomakea difference. although if you havea trampoline i really do suggest trmp broarding with an old broad, it really does help give you the feel of how to throw tricks on a wakeskate.
