learning them in out behind the jetski helps alot, i have never done one on a wakeboard so I don't know the relativity, i can assume they are harder on a skate just due to the obvious that you are not strapped in. I think Reed Hansen does some on his latest vid on alliance that might help so you can see them done, his would be a good example to go off of.
yeah it deifinatly helps with the handle pass and its the same basic motion
on a wakeskate its alot more important to pop harder so the board stays with you when you're spinning
