john271, if you can do a regular front big then why should you need other people to help you with a switch one?
shouldnt you be able to teach yourself. |

PoopSkater, it's a different trick?
john271, it helps to learn switch front shuvs first and definitely work on popping your switch 180's. |

sorry, but it's a stupid question. the only way it isn't is if you can't do normal ones. and in that case maybe you should try some of those. my advice would be to ride switch more and do lots of ollie 180's and front shuvs. but once again, you'd think that a switch trick, in principal, would be the same as the way you do it regularly. _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. Im just saying its pretty much the same trick just with a different foot forward.
I guess i would expect someone who can do them regular to know how to teach themself.
the same rules as the regular ones _________________ vesselwake.com |

they are alot easier on your switch toes. cut out less then you normally would. wait a second longer to throw after cutting than you normally would. and. you. will. land. them. easy. yesh |

do what tad said, you gotta crawl before you walk. learn to pop your switch 180s nice and big and once u can do that you can just give'r a lil kick and stomp it clean. I cant switch front shuv, but that will def help also, i should just go head and learn that... haha seems hard though haha. Good luck with the switch bigs. |

loganhursh, i had a lot of trouble getting the board to spin until i started trying them in/out... after a few in/outs, i figured out the basics, then learned them in the flats. _________________ north jones |

loganhursh,
Get your 180's nice and big and concentrate landing with the majority of your weight on your toes.
Get front shuvs down.
Cut out a good 5 feet or so, or even do them in the reentry, pop a nice big 180 and open up your shoulders nice and wide while letting go of the handle with your front hand. Give the board a little kick and it will spin right around. Make sure you spot your landing and try to land mainly with your weight on your toes. |
