|
|
I have a Monterrey boat, inboard outboard boat and wakeboard currently with it. I am thinking of getting into the sport of wake skating but wanted to make sure it was safe to do with an inboard outboard boat. I know wake surfing is not safe unless you have a full inboard boat.
If it's okay to wake skate with an inboard outboard boat, how come wake surfing isn't safe with it too?
I love water sports but don't want to get chopped up in my motor in the process
Thanks for any advice!! |

| wakeskating is perfectly fine. With wakeskating you ride at the same distance you do as wakeboarding so there is no problem with getting caught up in the motor.. the problem with surfing is that you only like 5 feet from the back of the boat and can easily travel right into the prop. but with wakeskating you dont have that problem. |

In an inboard boat the prop is recessed under the hull of the boat, and they most commonly have a swin platform as well, hence makin surfin ok. On an I/O like BryceBell said, the prop protrudes out the rear, right below the surface of the water. Yoiu can wakeskate behind ur boat but make sure you have the boat off when gettin in and out of the water at the rear of the boat, dont want any accidents _________________ They call me Dr. Jones
