PIRATE, I have a Lib-Tech TRice with banana/magnetraction.
Banana / Reverse camber is definitely "fun".
Good deals are available for pretty much all O-Matic boards as they are made in China to keep costs down, but I've heard really good things about them.
Out of your list though, I would probably go with the Indoor Survival, as I almost bought that board last year, but ended up getting a really good deal on my TRice that I couldn't pass up. |

Im leaning toward the omatic, unless someone can verify that they suck...... Or that the Reverse Camber boards are the way to go. _________________

PIRATE, when Lib Tech's skate banana's were first coming out, there were really two schools of thought... One is that reverse camber would change the industry, and that everyone will only ride RC. The other was that it was a fad that would die out.
It definitely isn't dying out anytime soon, as pretty much every major manufacturer has their own version of it now... but at the same time, there are several great boards out there that are conventionally shaped camber wise.
In fact, the reason I like my Lib Tech over my Burton Custom is more on the fact of the detuned magne traction edges. Soft enough to not bite too hard when I don't need the extra hold, but giving me extra traction when I need it. Having reverse camber is a cool feature, but it isn't the defining feature that some people crack it up to be.
Then again the Travis Rice is a stiffer RC board, so it doesn't have as much play as say a Skate Banana would, so maybe a softer RC board would be more fun... I dunno.
So moral of the story, based off what I've heard of the O-matic, I think it would be a good board and you should get it if that's the direction you're leaning. |

Le Jalapeno, yeah. I like Lib Tech a lot... if you are willing to spend the money, then go for either that board or the GNU Park Pickle looks pretty sick too. (both Mervin Manufacturing) |

Sorry I'm late on this one, but Omatic brother. Local boardshop guy told me that with reverse camber (flat kick, V rocker, etc...) you cannot load the tail on jumps and get as much pop as traditional camber. He said they are like riding one of those aluminum discs down the hill. Kids are dropping huge ched on them though. |

ive got a park pickle as my jib stick but lets get one thing down, reverse camber and a deeper heel sidecut has been around years before Mervin decided to meddle in it. Now you have all these kids who ride 5 times a year and are the biggest banana fanboys going around. it's the new burton.
PIRATE, it all depends one what you ride most dude. can't really recommend one thing from another unless you tell me what you ride. park, BC, pow, groomers or a mix of everything. and all you lib/gnu fanboys dont start telling me banana and MTX is the perfect board for everything, because in reality it isnt. |

i cant tell you anything about omatic, but from personal experience, capita, forum and stepchild all break really easy
i think rome and revolution defiantly make the most solid snowboards out there
i agree about the reverse camber thing, its only really good for just rails or just backcountry/pow _________________ http://www.stickandflick.com

Man Gnarly, I know you rip and I usually like what you have to say but I have a hard time believing that you've broke multiple StepChild decks. If you are saying that they break really easy, how many have you wrecked to be able to say that?

since when does this make rome a bad board company? ski manufacturers have been doing things a lot longer than stepchild |

dylo you ski don't you
Never said it made them a bad company. Your argument is hilarious, ski manufacturers have been doing "things" a lot longer than stepchild? what things? making ski poles? ha, I'm just kidding man but I'd rather support a rider owned company than some suits any day. _________________ thrashdad.com |

labellethrasher, i snapped the tail off my powder sucks in like 2 weeks of riding, and didnt get a warranty they claimed it was from a rail impact, but it defiantly wasn't.
my brother's edges on his latchkey got all messed up and the sidewall started popping out halfway through the season and his base started separating, and they wouldn't warranty that either
based on the boards the quality of the boards i've ridden, the bad customer service, and the fact that the local rep was a jerk to me on the phone, i don't think i'll be riding a stepchild for a long time. (even though i love their team and the fact that they're rider owned.) _________________ http://www.stickandflick.com

if you have any pics of either, I'd love to see em, maybe I could help in some way. Do you still have the boards? & what happened to your jibstick? _________________ thrashdad.com |
