Hey Im new to the forum. I post on wakeboarder.com wakeskating forum but decided to try here.
How do u LAND body varials out in the flats(like ollie not wake jump in the flats)?!?! I have tried over 50 seriously and I get the 180 no prob but i never ride away. 75% of the time I get both feet on the board but they are too close together. I try and spread my stance a little and then 1 foot goes over the front. Would trying a halfcab varial be easier because then I would land regular.

its easiest to do it right in the trough of the fs wake, like the base of the wake (facing with your front to the wake)

The Pavement 3.6, yea I always land on the tail. One time I almost rode away but slid out bc my feet were touching each other they were so close together and they were on the tail

One reason is because the rope is straight in front of you instead of over to the side when you're out in the flats.

I usually try them out in the flats but its not that consistent. I ll have to try it closer to the wake next time. BTW its really easy at the cable park, maybe because of the upward pull?
