With the temps going down here in Oregon, and having no motivated people who want to go out to the lake anymore, I think it's safe to say skate season has begun...

Not that every season isn't good for skating, but the fall months are probably the best months for skating as you can 1) go skating more often because it's too cold to wakeskate and too warm to snow 2) not overheat and come back from a session feeling like you ran through a sprinkler of your own sweat.

Actually this is the most motivated I've felt about skating in a while. The last month or so I probably skated for an hour total. But yesterday I had a fun cruise through my town and found a couple cool spots, and today I had the best park session ever with my friends. In the next few weeks I am moving down on campus in the thick of many fun places to skate.

I seriously want to get my camera fixed and film some stuff, the last video I posted of me skating last winter seriously looks like crap now.

Anyway I felt I should share the stoke, happy wood pushing.

I'm actually moving down on UofO campus to go to the community college and load my credit bag for a much more reasonable price and then transfer over to UofO in 2 years.

That's cool. I actually started out at our two year insititution to save money as well. I ended up with a two year degree, but I'm still not done yet. It was nice for me to do that, though, because I did a ton of snowboarding, but I still kind of regret not going to a different university earlier in my "educational career."

As for the skating thing, I've actually been skating the whole summer, only because wakeskating isn't very accessible to me (which is hard to handle). But I've had a lot of fun learning how to skate switch, and today I was out for two hours...so it was a good day. Have fun skating this fall--SKATE MORE!

Indeed. It's funny how skating works at U of O, unless it's a sunday, holiday or between terms, security is out in full force. But they smile and not even give a second thought as long as you are peacefully cruising about. So There's a few streets that go downhill, with benches, curbs and even sets of stairs, it's so fun to push twice and then carve around, it's kind of like snowboarding in the sense that you're going and unless you want to be a kooky hop n' stopper you just kind of do stuff once and will see it the next run around.. Not so fun when there's a lot of uvies walking around though.

There's so much fun in ollies, shifties, powerslides and impromptu foot long bench slides. I love it.

that sounds like a lot of fun...and that's why I need to move! I live next to my old elementary school, but the terrain is limited...and old. I just need to move to a bigger city.

Powerslides...when I was young, I couldn't do them but I wanted to so badly because christial slater powerslid his ass off in gleaming the cube..hhahahaha..seriously though, when I was young I didn't have any skating vids (because my parents didn't care and I was like 10) so seeing guys like tony hawk in that vid made me happy.
