I am looking to buy a wakeskate and have been researching for days and have yet to buy one. I have never rode a wakeskate so I have no idea what style ill like. I built a pretty sweet winch this winter and have yet to ride it on water. I will primary use the wakeskate with the winch but also would like to ride behind a boat a few times. I'm thinking no grip so people without shoes can ride as well, but who cares about others. I've looked at the 08 armada and the hyperlite catalysis. HELP

www.newwakeskates.com
Best concave wood decks, SOLID, can take a beating, wont break or get water logged.
reasonable price for the durability and longevity.

www.integrity-wake.com
Boards are indestructable great for beginners - advanced, But way over priced, if ur willing to spend nearly 500 bux on a board then go for it.

www.devotid.com
Best bi-levels in the bizz, great pop, great make, and great guys.

a few other brands to look into are the new Hyperlites when Kallas gets his wood deck out, it could brea amazing, and also if ur interested in possibly. Verge wakeskates, have never rode either but they look decent. Hope this helps.

Laughing

$405 bucks is only 'nearly 500 bux' if you're used to buying sh*tty wakeskates with stickers as graphics. The team deck is $335, Simplex is $250ish and Dada is $125. Hardly overpriced considering the materials and tech that goes into making them.

Hey feuerfrei,

are you writing from Germany? If so you might want to check out treeknowledge skates. Proudly built in Berlin and really nice rides.

Stay away from the Armada, rode it and hated it. Rode the new Armada and hated that too...

Catalyst is ok-ish but there are better ones out there.

I'm thinking something light to throw around in the flat water. A bi-level seems heavy to maneuver.

Mr. Top Hat, There were a few bad ones here and there, but all in all you and i both know 95% of the NEW decks are solid... But i guess we are still in a fight? so u gotta call me out... grow up <3

scott a, how much if he wants fins (beginner so its likely, and i would suggest it), and shipping/handeling depending on where he lives, if hes outa the country, as his name possibly suggests then yes it will be *nearly* or over 500 bux. Also yes there are those other board selection suggestions that i provided a link to the integ website for him to look at for that reason.

Sorry, if anyone though my input was bias at all... it was just giving my 2cents from experience... Haters Laughing
