when i try to ollie outta a boardslide or lipslide, nothing seemingly happens except i faceplant....how do u get the board to ollie when its perpendicular to the way your going?

ride it like your just gonna slide down the lip and when your tail gets close to the lip, snap it hard. try it and youll get what i mean... took me a while to understand but thats because i had no one to tell me wht to do Very Happy

you just have to rock board and then snap the tail

These guys pretty much coverd it, but I will add to their replies. Get your board to where the wake is in the center and the board can teater on top of the wake. Weight your back foot, unweight your front and snap it.

Faceplants are bad for your health.

soo is it basically the same as ollieing every other time? it just seems weird that all, i have no problem ollieing on

you need to get the feel of it...

say you ollie onto a frontside lipslide. So you are sliding facing the boat. When you want to ollie out you start sliding in a backside motion, when your tail is close to being on top of the wake (you are almost aligned back with the boat), snap your ollie and land off the wake.

As you get more comfortable try to snap your ollie sooner and spin less on the water.
