i wanna build one of the rails that sit on two tubes and goes behind the boat. Any suggestions on how to make it nice?

G_CHiLD, in the video I mentioned in my other post they use just painted wood. For cheap stuff you could get away with, just head to Home Depot and walk around the wood area and look for the composite stuff. Like the baseboards and what not, the decorative stuff. I've seen a few different things in that area that wood work and are a lot cheaper than trex.

Also did you want this to be a rail or a box?

Just use bend-a-board the stuff that we used on the flat rail at Ramona Lake man.Its cheap, slides good and comes in really long pieces.
