Ok, I`m going to paint my skate i read the article they have on the site how to do it but it seemed kind of confusing. Will someone please explain to me how to paint my skate and whats the best paint to use, I`m going to get sandpaper to get the paint of my board where do I go from there?

Thanks in advance.

WaKeSk8Er1234,

Here's what i did.

1. Used an electric sander (might mouse) and lighty sanded the board until i got all of the paint off.

2. Then took masking tape and put around the outside edges of the grip tape so that I wouldnt get paint on it.

3. Went to the genreal hardware store here in town and picked up some wood paint and a can of clear coat sealer.

4. Paint the whole board with one even coat, wait a day for the coat to completly dry, put a 2nd coat on, wait again, then do one or 2 coats of the clear spray sealer.

Heres some before and after pictures!

I made my board, so I didn't have to sand off old graphics or anything, but I just made a stencil out of newspaper and tagboard in the design that I wanted, secured it with masking tape, then masked off the edges, and used three coats of neon green from a rattle can. Then I pulled up the tape, and put on three coats of waterproof lacquer. I sanded the board with 400 grit paper between each coat of lacquer so that they would bond together easier.
