No problem. If you get these same brackets, mount them so that the pole lines up in the center. The pole will be to the side of the bracket, so the brackets won't mount in the center.

This is the best option for me to use at this time. The lake I frequent is notorious for tearing down all of my rails and kickers. Not to mention this is extremly cheap and easy to assemble. I'll be stopping by the Depot Friday and building one. I'll let you know how it works out.

Well, since the supplies needed state you need 7 posts and 7 brackets, I would assume there is only one bracket per post.

No problem and I will do. I'll take plenty of pics for some step by step action.
I live on the lake as many people seem to here, and directly behind my house is a sand bar just itching to have a rail pounded into it.

My local Home Depots don't carry any composite decking material in store. They have to custom order it. I picked up the rest of the stuff though. I might just throw some PVC on it and go. Haven't decided what I'm doing yet. I get off work in a little over an hour and will figure something out.

That sucks, the compsite decking is so easy to work with. Let us know what you figure out and how it works out for you.

Just an update: I decided to hold off on it until I can locate the composite decking material. I ordered some from Home Depot, but it should be another week till I have it.
